In recent months, I have had the good fortune to read parts of the manual and to personally meet Trent Mongero. Our community is truly blessed to have such a great man who will not only coach our children, but will also be a good christian role model for them as well. As a travel ball coach, his manual addresses many of the concerns and problems that are associated with youth sports in today’s society. The manual addresses many of the situations that we as parents are scared to ask, and as coaches are scared to address. The manual is a tremendous resource of material for various fundamental drills to help youth become better players. It is especially useful since the drills are age specific and broken into age-appropriate skills. As I have heard Coach Mongero say, he doesn’t claim to know everything about the game, but has taken the time to put into words what he has learned, observed, and been taught about the game of baseball. Baseball is truly the greatest game on earth, and I look forward to all the things that Coach Mongero is going to teach our young men about the game of baseball and the game of life.
