Coach Mongero, We are truly grateful for sharing what you have with my son and the impact it’s had on his game! As a father of a young baseball player falling in love with the game, our role is to guide that early interest into lasting passion. Like most parents, we enjoy what our kids enjoy—and for baseball kids, that’s playing games, games, and more games. But there comes a point where we must choose long-term development over short-term gratification.
My 11-year-old son would play every weekend if he could, but real growth happens through focused development—not just in tournaments. That’s why Dirt Bros camps have been a game-changer for us. Coach Montgero and his staff teach the infield from the ground up—emphasizing not just skill, but true understanding of the craft.
Compare a tournament weekend (four games, 10–12 at-bats, a handful of balls in play) to two days at a Dirt Bros camp, and there’s no question where real improvement happens. Every time we can, we’re at a Dirt Bros camp—because knowledge is the great separator.
If your child is serious about being an infielder, I highly recommend Dirt Bros. It’s the best investment we’ve made in our son’s development and love for the game.
